EETimes online - Nujira's DPD module said to simplify basestation design

LONDON - Power amplifier specialist Nujira (Cambridge, England) claims the digital pre-distortion (DPD) version of its Coolteq-h power modulator will simplify the design of cellular basestations.

Dubbed Coolteq-b, the device is designed to improve transmitted signal quality whilst maintaining Nujira's trademark envelop-tracking power efficiency.

In a typical, 4-carrier W-CDMA basestation system, the adjacent channel leakage power ratio is said to exceed 55 dB with Coolteq-h and 60dB in fixed drain mode "traditional amplifiers".
