Nujira's CTO Gerard Wimpenny will be presenting at the "Broadband PAs for Wireless Communications" Workshop at IMS2012, 17 - 22 June, Montreal, Canada.

"Envelope Tracking - from Watts to Kilo-Watts"
This talk will briefly overview the 'anatomy' of an Envelope Tracking system and give examples of the performance achievable using ET for low power RF amplifiers (

The use of advance PA characterisation techniques as an optimisation aid will be discussed. The talk will also explain how a well implemented ET amplifier can offer many system benefits besides simple efficiency enhancement, and will briefly discuss the use of ET in conjunction with other PA efficiency enhancement techniques. Lastly, the top level architecture and design requirements of the Envelope Modulator itself will be discussed.
