Tim Haynes
Chief Executive Officer & Founder

Tim brings more than 20 years of Telecoms experience to Nujira, most recently UK Operations Director at Symbionics, where he had management and operations responsibility for engineering staff within the Wireless & Multimedia Division at the company's two UK Design Centres. During his eleven year tenure at Symbionics, Tim successfully founded and managed its highly successful Cellular Business Group, securing multiple multi-million dollar contracts with major Blue-Chip clients. Tim holds a first class honours degree in electrical & electronic engineering 

 

Bernard Morgan
Chief Financial Officer

Bernard, a chartered management accountant, has over 20 years of experience in senior financial management positions in the electronics industry, and has worked in VC/private equity backed companies for over 10 years. Immediately prior to joining Nujira, Bernard worked for seven years at Celoxica Holdings plc, a leading provider of accelerated computing software and solutions, culminating in the company's IPO in 2005. Prior to Celoxica he worked as Vice President, Finance, Europe at LSI Logic, and also worked for Philips for ten years in a number of divisions. Bernard is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants

 

Gerard Wimpenny
Chief Technology Officer

Gerard brings a broad knowledge of RF and Signal Processing accumulated over 20 years to Nujira. Previously, he was Technical Director of Symbionics, with responsibility for strategic R&D, design process definition, and top level technical support for business development activities. Gerard has been instrumental in delivering numerous wireless products to semiconductor vendors, infrastructure and handset manufacturers and holds an MA degree from Cambridge University.

 


Jeremy Hendy
VP Marketing

Jeremy Hendy brings Nujira considerable experience of semiconductor sales and marketing across multiple technologies for wireless communication and digital video. Previous positions include Marketing Director of wireless USB start-up Artimi, VP Marketing for Aspex Semiconductor, and Strategic Technology Director of Cadence’s Wireless and Multimedia business unit. He started his career with Texas Instruments, and holds a first class honours degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Liverpool.

 


Julian Hildersley
VP Partner Development

Julian has over 20 years of commercial and electronic and semiconductor product development experience, most recently as Operations Director of the Motorola TTPCom Product Group’s Wireless Systems Division, where he was responsible for all development and customer facing operations. Prior to this he spent 12 years at TTPCom, where he had a number of RF and silicon design roles, culminating as Managing Director of the Silicon Business Unit, which developed IP for sale to cellular phone semiconductor vendors. Before TTPCom, Julian was an RF design expert at Roke Manor Research. Julian holds an honours degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering.

 


Martin Wilson
Chief Scientist & Handset Technology Director

Martin was a technical lead at Symbionics/Tality from 1995. He was responsible for many successful designs of RFICs and power amplifiers for a range of personal and cellular communications applications. Prior to Symbionics Martin held senior technical positions at Pye Telecoms, Cambridge Consultants and Ferranti Microwave. He graduated in 1979 with an honours degree in physics and doctorate in electronics.

 


Gordon Neish
Chief Operations Officer

Gordon has over twenty years experience in electronic development including software, Custom I.C. and telecommunications systems design. Most recently he ran an Applications Software development team at TTPCom and prior to that spent almost ten years with Symbionics Ltd where he managed and contributed on numerous Telecommunication systems projects. Gordon graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a first class honours degree in electrical and electronic engineering.

Hugh Baker-Smith 
VP Worldwide Sales

Hugh has more than 25 years’ experience in direct sales, distribution, and licensing across Europe, China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and the USA. This includes a consistent career track record of driving and managing significant revenue growth in international B2B technology markets. He has a strong technology background covering telecoms, PC’s, inkjet, customised component assemblies, mobile phones, and touchscreens. Previously, Hugh worked in Cambridge as Sales Director for both Xaar plc and Pelikon. More recently, he was VP of International Sales at ELK Corporation, a manufacturer of touch assemblies in Korea whose customers include many leading electronics companies, mobile phone manufacturers, and their respective OEMs/ODMs.
