Mike McTighe

Mike McTighe is an experienced executive with over 38 years international management experience and board level roles in the telecommunications industry. Mike was appointed to the Nujira board in September 2005. Mike has held over 20 directorships in Europe and the USA, and is currently Chairman of WYG plc, Chairman of Jerrold Holdings Ltd, Chairman of Arran Isle Ltd, Chairman of Gortmullan Holding Co Ltd, and a board member of Ofcom. Mike has also acted as an advisor to the private equity firms Apax Partners, Providence Equity, and General Atlantic. Previous roles include Chairman & CEO of Carrier1 International SA and Executive Director & Chief Executive, Global Operations of Cable & Wireless plc. Mike holds a B.Sc Eng from London University.






Tim Haynes
Chief Executive Officer & Founder

Tim founded and has been CEO of Nujira since 2002. Previously he was UK Operations Director at Symbionics, where he had management and operations responsibility for engineering staff within the Wireless & Multimedia Division at the company's two UK Design Centres. During his eleven year tenure at Symbionics, Tim successfully founded and managed its highly successful Cellular Business Group, securing multiple multi-million dollar contracts with major Blue-Chip clients. Tim holds a first class honours degree in electrical & electronic engineering.





Andrea Traversone

Andrea is a partner at Amadeus Capital Partners Limited, focusing on the mobile sector. Since joining Amadeus in 1998, Andrea has worked on several transactions, including Lastminute (London IPO), AePONA (acquired by Intel), Octo Telematics (acquired by Renova), and Nujira. Andrea started his career in the hospitality industry in Costa Rica. He holds an MBA from Cambridge University and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.


Niel Viljoen

Niel Viljoen is Founder and Chief Development Officer of Netronome Systems. Immediately prior to this, Niel was an active business angel investing in several high tech companies in the UK, including leading a seed stage investment in Nujira in 2003. Between 1999 and 2001, Niel served as CTO for the Marconi group where he was responsible for all technology strategy, reporting to the CEO, as a member of the management team. Niel joined Marconi after the acquisition of FORE for $4.5 billion in cash, where he was part of the management team. At FORE Niel's last position was SVP & GM of the Service Provider Division. Here Niel grew the business from $40 million to $320 million over a three year period. Niel has received a number of industry awards and attended Stellenbosch and Cambridge Universities.


Jens Mathiesen

Jens Christian Mathiesen is Managing Director at NES Partners and has more than 20 years experience within the capital markets, project finance and private equity investments. In his capacity as Managing Director at NES Partners, Jens has executed investments and is on the Board of a number of companies across Europe and North America. Prior to joining the NES, Jens has been with companies in the Cleantech and financial service sectors. Jens has an MSc in Political Science amd BSc in Accounting.


Patrick Sheehan

Patrick Sheehan, a founder partner of ETF, has been in venture capital since 1985. He was initially at 3i, where he gained a reputation as a thought leader and innovator, investing in a wide range of technology companies across a variety of sectors. He was, for example, the founding MD of the Silicon Valley operation. Patrick started his career as a research engineer at GEC and as a technical consultant for Marconi Space Systems. Patrick is a past Chairman of the European Venture Capital Association's Venture Capital Committee, and also past EVCA Executive Committee and Board Member. Patrick has a PhD in electronic engineering and a First Class Honours degree in electronic & electrical engineering from UCL. 


James Hook

James is a Managing Director of CCC and part of the senior team managing CCC's €200 million private equity fund focussed on Resource Efficiency. Prior to joining CCC, James was a Principal at Apax Partners spending six years in the Tech and Telecoms team. Notable deals and exits include: Q-Cells (floated on TechDax:QCE, acquired by Hanwa) and NXP (leveraged MBO/carve-out, floated on NASDAQ:NXPI.) Prior to Apax, James spent three years as a Strategy Consultant with Analysys Consulting, serving fixed and wireless telecoms operators in Europe, North America and Asia. James graduated in 1997 with a First Class M.Eng in Engineering Science from Oxford University, then joined ARM (LSE:ARMH) as a Silicon Engineer. James is a UK National speaking fluent German. 


Jim Brewington
Advisor to the Board

Jim Brewington


Jim Brewington has an extensive knowledge of the global communications market, having most recently held the position of President of Developing Markets at Lucent Technologies. He played a key role in building the Mobility business at Lucent and establishing its leadership in third generation technologies. Prior to heading Lucent's Developing Markets group, Jim served as President of the company's Mobility Solutions Group, where he was responsible for all wireless infrastructure for the mobility segment including global wireless development and product architecture, project management and business and product management. He began his career at AT&T in 1968, and over the ensuing years has held various executive management positions in the telecommunications industry, including overseeing Bell Telephone Wireless Laboratories. He is a member of the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) and the CTIA Wireless Foundation.
